Visit Norway's largest open-air museum for a memorable Christmas experience!

Maihaugen is beautifully situated in Lillehammer and consists of several hundred historical buildings, where you can experience past environments and ways of life. 

Every day in the museum's opening hours, you can join us for a guided tour into Christmas-decorated homes and discover how Christmas was celebrated in the old days. Wander through Maihaugen's Christmas street, decorated with garlands of real pine branches and yellow stars, and have a look at the unique ornaments on the Christmas tree in the visitor center, which is decorated by an artist or designer every year.
